ABOUT SIMON CANTLON

Simon Cantlon has spent more than 25 years in the entertainment industry. He began in radio, publicity, record label marketing, and band management before moving into digital media, television, and live music.
His television credits include American Idol, Weeds, So You Think You Can Dance, Queer as Folk, Californication, and Dexter, for which he received an Emmy nomination. He has also worked with Elvis Presley Enterprises, David Beckham, Adam Lambert, Daughtry, the Spice Girls, and Carrie Underwood.
After leaving the corporate entertainment world, Simon founded Vive Le Rock Productions to produce festivals, concerts, benefits, and community events, alongside his work in marketing, graphic design, and digital media. He produced Rockabilly On The Route from 2013 to 2017 and now produces Rockabillaque in South Carolina and Florida. The sixth Rockabillaque Florida takes place in November 2026, and Rockabillaque Charleston returns for its 13th year in 2027. Plans are also underway for an Elvis-themed Rockabillaque festival in Tupelo, Mississippi, in 2028. The festival is a midcentury celebration with a modern day twise that is free to attend and is the biggest festival of its kind in the south.
Simon also produces Park Circle Pride, a six-day celebration of LGBTQ+ community, culture, and connection in North Charleston. With more than 40 events across Park Circle, the festival brings together the community with the most diverse pride schedule in the south and benefits two local LGBTQ+ nonprofits: AFFA (Alliance for Full Acceptance) and We Are Family. Park Circle Pride celebrates its seventh year in 2027.
In 2023, the City of North Charleston proclaimed June 6 “Simon Cantlon Day” in recognition of his work producing Rockabillaque and Park Circle Pride, supporting local charities, and championing the LGBTQ+ community.
Simon is also developing Charleston Wavefest, an indie and alternative rock festival planned for 2028. Through Vive Le Rock Productions, he continues to bring people together through music and events that support the communities behind them.
